
Andreia Alexander , MD
Andreia Alexander, MD is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, Director of the Health Equity Education Pathway, and Medical Director of Health Equity at Indiana University Health System. She has been a faculty member since 2018 and previously served as the Associate Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency. Dr. Alexander holds a B.S. in Health Science Education from the University of Florida, a Master of Public Health from Indiana University, and an MD/PhD in Health Behavior with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. Her research addresses health inequities in emergency care, particularly regarding reproductive health, contraception access, and systemic racism. She is a board member of the Indiana State Medical Association and serves on the NASEM Reproductive Health Equity Committee. Dr. Alexander has received numerous honors, including EMRA’s Top 25 Under 45 Influencers and multiple awards for teaching, research, and advocacy in reproductive health.
